The benefits of lab blocks
Lab blocks, also known a rodent pellets, are food specifically
made for laboratory rodents, and are the most balanced
diet on the market for rats. They're made to exactly
meet the nutritional requirements of rats and mice.
Unlike seed and grain mixes, rats can't pick and choose
what they want to eat, which can result in an unbalanced
diet. Seed mixes are often too high in fat as well.
While lab blocks are a nutrionally complete diet, they're
not a very exciting diet. It's recommended you suppliment
lab blocks with fresh fruit and vegies, and healthy
leftovers every day. For variety, adding a grain mix
to the blocks occasionally is also recommended.
