The FlyingDuster Rattery
Skie X Shade

This was the second litter bred by the FD Rattery. Two babies were lost and one will be forever a 'special' girl, but the litter has been a success!


Skie X Shade Birth date: 10th March 2006

Sire:Shade. Black spotted hooded downunder. 470g. 10 months old at time of litter. (on the right in the photo above)

Dam:
Skie. Mink hooded. 283g. 9 months old at time of pregnancy. (on the left)

This pair was put together for afew hours, and observed to mate sucssefully, on the 15th of February 2006. Skie had a weight gain of over 100g through her 23 day pregnancy
The photos below are of Skie at day 21 of her pregnancy.


11 babies were born on March the 10th sometimes between 8am and 2pm while I was at work! One boy was lost on the first night, never to be found again. I suspect he had something wrong and Skie got rid of him. A girl was lost on day three. The remaining 9 are all doing well though!!

This wee girl is very speical. She was born with no eyes but isn't at all held back, and will always stay here with FD rattery!
